We already knew that octopi in captivity are able to escape from their enclosures with remarkable frequency. And now finally someone captured video of an octopus leaving his familiar watery dwelling and heading out on dry land in search of a meal! How would you like to run into this guy in a dark hallway?

Whether you are a brand new wine lover or already have a sophisticated palate, Thanksgiving weekend is the perfect time to visit the wineries of the Willamette Valley. This year, over 163 wineries in the Willamette Valley are opening their doors for a Wine Country Thanksgiving. You’ll be able to sample wines that are hard to find, enjoy special pricing on special bottles…..and even enjoy live entertainment, gourmet food, and more! It’s a great way to learn more about wine, while enjoying time with friends! My husband & I took a wine tasting adventure this weekend at JK Carriere Wines. We enjoyed some great conversation with Jim Prosser, owner & winemaker at JK Carriere…..and found some new pinots to take home for Thanksgiving. This year, the wineries of the Willamette Valley have developed a smart phone app that will help you perfectly plan your Thanksgiving Wine Country Escape. Go to www.willamettewinemap.com and scan the QR code to get: directions, hours, information, and more for over 190 Willamette Valley wineries. You can also get more info at www.willamettewines.com!
Here’s a brief video overview of our visit!

Hopefully the answer is no! She was just arrested in Florida for performing illegal cosmetic procedures without a license. She was injecting her “patient’s” buttocks with a mixture of cement, fix-a-flat and superglue. She promised her victims they would be able to show off a new butt that looked almost as good as hers!
I am Rex, king of all treats and snuggles! I love my people more than anything; food is a close second. I know to go potty outside, and I walk well on leash. I am a gentle kind of guy, happy to rest my head on your lap or lie by your feet. I want to be near someone all the time, so if you spend much time away from home, I might not be the best match for you. I’ve lived with cats and we got along just fine, but I think I’d prefer to be the only dog in the home. I would be pleased as punch to go home with someone who has older kids who know to be gentle with and respectful of me! If you like the idea of a constant companion and exercise buddy, I need to shed a few pounds, so come have a chat with me and see if we’re a match! A training consultation is included in my adoption. I was recently given a spa day by groomers Deena Holeman and Erin Fogg from 2 Girls Grooming who donated their time to make me look extra special!
The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip ID, collar and OHS I.D. tag, initial vaccines, one month pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and plenty of post adoption support!
Peruvian anthropologist Renato Davila Riquelme has discovered the remains of an unidentified creature with a “triangle shaped” skull nearly as large as its 20-inch-tall body. And scientists in both Russia and Peru are claiming the body is not from this planet!
Bartender Jason McGrady of Seattle’s Sazerac Restaurant, inside the Hotel Monaco, was so inspired by the series, he mixed up a handful of specialty drinks inspired by Stephanie Meyer’s series.
And there’s a local connection.
McGrady’s restaurant is located in the closest major city to Forks, Wash., where the Twilight series is set, and fans pass through Seattle when they come to take Twilight-themed tours in Forks, he says.
“One of the most important parts of my job as a bartender is keeping up with what’s current and what’s hot,” McGrady tells PEOPLE. “And in this part of the world, Twilight is definitely hot.”
