If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, it doesn’t get much cooler than good food & good conversation for a great cause. Internationally known author and filmmaker, Bill Carter, is going to be in Astoria for the annual Fisherpoets gathering. Bill will be reading from his memoir, “Red Summer”, as well as showing a film based on the book. He will also be a celebrity bartender at Clemente’s to raise awareness and money to help save the salmon, environment, and way of life in Bristol Bay, Alaska. Here’s a link for more info.
I talked to Bill about his film, “MIss Sarajevo”, as well as his relationship with Bono & U2, his passion for saving Bristol Bay, and his next project.
